FAQs

What are your fees?

I charge $175 per session, if you are paying out of pocket. This fee applies to individual or couples therapy.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! I take Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Blue Shield PPO. Note that your Medi-Cal may be administered by Carelon, Central California Alliance for Health, Anthem, San Francisco Health Plan, etc. I can also provide a superbill if I am not in-network with your insurance.

I live in [insert location here], do you do telehealth?

I do offer telehealth services. However, my practice is limited to California. Additionally, I am not contracted with Medi-Cal in all counties within California, so if you are hoping to use Medi-Cal to pay for therapy, we will need to make sure you’re in a county I’m contracted with.

How long is a therapy session?

Therapy sessions are typically 50-53 minutes. (Yes, that timing seems very random. We can thank the insurance companies for that!)

What is your style as a therapist?

My approach is relational, eclectic, and client-centered—meaning I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, and I know you are the expert in your own life. I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities, and have specialized training in perinatal mental health, but at the core of my work is connection. I believe that healing happens in the context of a genuine, supportive relationship where you feel safe to fully be yourself. You can expect me to be curious, compassionate, and to empower you to find your strengths. I come from a social work background, and know no person exists in isolation—we all live in relation to others and our environment.

I draw from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), IFS (internal family systems, or “parts work”), humanistic therapy, narrative therapy, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and more. I bring in different styles and modalities based on the client and what they are struggling with.

What are your credentials?

I am a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (#131728), which means I hold a Masters of Social Work (from San Jose State University). I also hold a Advanced Social Work in Mental Health Certificate from San Jose State University. I am CAMS Trained, and Internal Family Systems–informed. And I have completed the Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Certificate Course through Postpartum Support International.

Are you a mom yourself?

Yes! My expertise comes from my education, training, clinical experience, academic research, and my lived experience as a mom of two young kiddos. I understand the struggle is real: motherhood can be complicated, beautiful, messy, frustrating, fulfilling, soul-crushing, and utterly transformative. I’m right there in the trenches with you, loving (and sometimes hating) every minute of it.
