Perinatal Anxiety and Depression
Whether you anticipated anxiety and/or depression or it has hit you like a ton of bricks, the experience of heightened anxiety or a very low mood can be disorienting and disheartening. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (or PMADs, if we’re being clinical), don’t discriminate, and affect way more people than we think. The best part? They’re treatable. I can help you get to the root of it all, while learning some coping skills along the way. You can—and will!—find joy again.

Identity Loss and Grief
The transition to motherhood inherently involves major role and identity shifts, and there is always a parallel grieving process. Who you become as a mother may not align with who you expected to be, and you may be feeling like you’ve “lost yourself.” This can happen in the newborn phase or years later. We can work together to get you in tune with yourself, your values, and the person you want to be, while grieving any parts you may be leaving behind. It’s complicated, and that’s okay.

Relationship Changes
Having a baby changes EVERYTHING. You, your body, your mind, your place in the world, your home, your finances, your relationships. New roles are established, and you may feel like you’re navigating the changes alone. Let’s figure out what boundaries serve you in this phase of life, what communication needs you have, and how to find balance among your changing relationships.

Pregnancy and Fertility
There is SO much pressure to bear children as a woman in our society, and even more pressure to “do it right.” You may have fears, questions, and overwhelm. Together, we can find some calm among the storm of the pressure and current or upcoming changes. I can help you navigate grief, expectations, and fears. We can find authentic clarity while getting curious about the unknown.

Overwhelm
You’re the high-functioning mom. You keep it all together, and do it with a smile. You would do anything for your kids and your family, and go above and beyond at every opportunity. And yet, among the daily organized chaos, you are not sure who is caring for YOU. The internal struggle is real. I’ll help you untangle your priorities, find regulation skills, and get grounded in your own values, so you can live a more balanced life.

Mom Rage
The sudden rage that can hit moms can feel shameful, disorienting, and uncontrollable. Often a symptom of depression or anxiety, or even PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder), rage during motherhood is not uncommon but is rarely discussed. By getting curious about its triggers and learning some individualized coping skills, we can start to shift to a more regulated, peaceful inner experience.
